From the description of the problem, clear maritime boundaries are needed in the South China Sea, ensuring maritime boundaries are carried out based on the United Nations Convention On The Law Of The Sea (UNCLOS III) and also technical aspects of UNCLOS III, as known as Technical Aspect of the United Nations Convention On Law Of The Sea (TALOS). In deciding the maritime boundaries between countries in the South China Sea, the principle of equidistance that produces a median line is used, this median line will serve as the maritime boundary between countries. The data used on this study are form of geographic data on the base points of countries in the South China Sea. From the existing base points, a line will be drawn to determine the baseline. From the baseline obtained, the outer boundaries of the maritime zone will be determined. The method used in determining maritime boundaries between countries is the buffer method and determining the center line using the thiessen polygon method. Based on the process that has been carried out, it was found that the Thiessen polygon method can be used to determine maritime boundaries between countries because the theory used by Thiessen polygons represents the principle of equidistance which is one of the principles for determining maritime boundaries between countries as stated in UNCLOS III (1973-73). 1982). And from the results of the map that has been made, South China is not true according to studies obtained from UNCLOS III (1973-1982) and also TALOS 1982. . text
