| Summary: | Bandung City is the largest metropolitan city in West Java Province. To complement every aspect of the needs of its residents, the City of Bandung provides various land use facilities such as land use as a trade center, office, hospital, and others that have their own characteristics. The level of use of private motorized vehicles has always increased by an average of 11% per year (Bandung City Transportation Department, 2019). The provision of parking facilities needs to be adjusted to the activities that occur in each land use, because every activity in the land use has implications for the characteristics and performance of parking in that land use.
In this study, an assessment of parking performance and parking characteristics will be carried out on 3 different land uses in the city of Bandung, namely a hospital (Bandung City Adventist Hospital), a terminal (Leuwipanjang Terminal), and a supermarket (Yogya Riau Junction). ). The data collection method was carried out by direct observation, with the plate matching method. The results of the study were obtained based on the data during the author's survey.
Based on the research results, the characteristics of hospital parking and supermarkets are owned and managed by a third party and the rates are progressive. The supermarket parking turnover rate is higher than other land uses. The duration of parking at the hospital is greater than for other land uses. This difference is due to the activity in each land use that can affect the characteristics and performance of each parking area according to land use. So that each land use has its own tendency.
