Description
Summary:Having the availability of a natural daylighting in a room is one of the keys to have a great influence on the productivity and convenience of office employees. Beside of that, an office building must be able to withstand any changes that applies on the exterior. Therefore, in this thesis, we'll create a dynamic triangle facade design on the building that will not only increase the aesthetics, but also directly control and optimize the natural daylight in the building by opening and closing the facade wings according to the natural light being received. This study aims to create a dynamic facade design that can optimize the performance of natural daylighting in an office space model in Sintang, Indonesia. Then the optimum facade opening angle will be determined for the office space model based on two criteria of IES LM-83-12, that is the value of Spatial Daylight Autonomy (????????????400,50) >55% and the value of Annual Sunlight Exposure (????????????1000,250) <10% assuming a static facade. In addition, the angle of the facade opening that can meet the window area needs will be determined based on the daylight factor (df) value. The software used is Python and Rhino 7 with Honeybee and Ladybug plug-ins.
