Description
Summary:Zoning is an entrance of student enrollment nowadays. Student should study at school which is near from house by zoning system. This Final Project intends to construct a zoning model that minimizes distance and socioeconomic variation of applicants. The problem will be considered as a multiobjective optimization problem in which the two objectives are to minimize the distance and the socioeconomic variation. The distance is associated with transportation cost. Lesser distance means lesser transportation cost. While, the socioeconomic variation refers to variation of student economic background. Optimization method used is the weighted summation method. Solver used to run the program is surrogateopt, that is an optimization library builded in MATLAB which is capable to solve the searching of global minimum of real objective function on multidimension area.
