Summary: | Indonesia as a developing country, is experiencing economic growth, which affects various fields positively in Indonesia, including in its infrastructure. The rapid development is due to economic growth which is mostly centered in Jakarta, resulting in more and more facilities are being built to accommodate the needs of the citizen. However, with the development that grows rapidly without taking the availability of trees in the area into consideration, it will surely become a problem in the future. Unfortunately, this is happening in Jakarta and will have a negative impact, both on the environment, and to the health or well-being of the people living there as well. These days, more and more people are realizing the importance of sustainable and environmentally friendly design is, in designing, making, or using something. With the tree planting program at Jakarta runs by the government, the author, as part of the citizen or community, will implements environmentally friendly design in hope of contributing to building infrastructure that considers or goes hand in hand with the reforestation or tree planting program in Jakarta.
The developing business center in Jakarta provides potentials and chances for the hospitality industry as well. Green design can be one of the design concept implementations that could be used as well in making something with a contribution to the environmental care. Other than its application to interior design, the garden area in the boutique hotel area will also be a part of the green design. By providing a lush atmosphere or environment with trees, visitors are hoped to be reminded again with the importance of trees and plants in the environment. |
