The aging process is a natural process that occurs since humans are born. This aging process causes many significant changes that occur in the elderly aged 60 years or more. A person's mental, physical, and social health conditions change over time, making parents or the elderly need special attention in designing facilities in the built environment for welfare in old age. The built environment needs to accommodate all the needs of the elderly, respond to their limitations and pay attention to the abilities of the main users. An elderly home is a place for the elderly to receive care, care, and attention. There are still many elderly facilities, such as nursing homes for the elderly, with inadequate conditions, so it is not uncommon for this to only make the main users get bad effects that affect their mental and physical health. The decline in function experienced by the elderly cannot be used as a limitation to designing facilities that can fulfill relaxation activities, rest, care, and so on. This research data collection was obtained through several sources, including literature studies from various books, journals, and scientific works that support and conduct field surveys to be able to feel the living conditions of the elderly in real terms. This design aims to be able to create a home for the elderly with room facilities that are adapted to the needs of the elderly in order to make it easier for the elderly and achieve a prosperous old age. Building a home for the elderly by implementing a sense of welcome helps the elderly to have a more emotional attachment to the place and is easy to adapt to because the elderly feel accepted mentally, physically, and socially in their new environment.
