Description
Summary:Dental and oral health are important, especially for children. However, especially in the Bandung area, children's dental health facilities are often still in the same environment as a general dental health facility. The interior aspects of a general dental health facility (visually and auditory) that are not specifically designed for children can affect the child's psychological state and cause dental fear and anxiety. This fear and anxiety can discourage children from visiting dental facilities, which in turn affects their oral and dental health. In this design, the author wants to design a Children's Dental Health Center as a means of education, prevention, and dental and oral care for children in the city of Bandung, with a neotenic design approach, which is expected to relieve children's fear and anxiety about dental facilities. The design of the facility consists of lobby/reception area, cafeteria, dental and oral health education area, waiting area, play area, doctor's consultation room, action room, pharmacy room, administration room, dental laboratory, radiography room, central sterilization room (CSR), doctor's private room, break room, warehouse, and toilet. With the design theme “A Place Where A Smile Begins,” this facility is expected to create a beautiful and happy smile from every child who visits the Children’s Dental Health Center.
