Description
Summary:The Singkawang Basin is a basin filled with sedimentary rock, it is possible that it has potential as a hydrocarbon-producing rock so that the Singkawang Basin is expected to have conventional and non-conventional hydrocarbon potential. Petroleum is a hydrocarbon compound with a complex mixture of other organic compounds. The participation of hydrocarbons in the composition of petroleum is very large, precisely 90 to 97 percent of the total composition of the composition of petroleum. One method that can be used in the identification of sedimentary areas is the gravity method. The gravity method is a method used to determine the density contrast variations of rock or subsurface material by measuring the acceleration of gravity. The purpose of this study is to determine the distribution of the gravity anomaly in the Singkawang Basin and its surroundings, along with the determination of the sediment and basement areas along with the depths of the sub-basins in the Singkawang Basin. The data obtained from measurements using the gravity method must be subjected to various corrections such as buoyancy correction, tidal correction, latitude correction, free air correction, Bouguer correction and field correction. From the data processing, the complete Bouguer anomaly value is 2.5 – 45.2 mGal, the anomaly distribution value in the regional area is 9.9 – 42.7 mGal, and the anomaly distribution value is in the residual area (-11) – 12.9 mGal. The information obtained from the modeling results using Forward Modeling is that the estimated average density in the sediment area is 2.4 g/cc and in the basement area is 3 g/cc with an estimated sub-basin depth of 13.69 km and 12.71 km for slicing from A -A', 12.54 km and 12.17 km for B-B' slicing, and 12.72 km and 12.17 km for C-C' slicing results.
