One of them is batik, batik motifs have been studied from various aspects, one of which is the truntum motif, but in the context of its development and application it needs to be further researched on aesthetic aspects and aspects of novelty. Based on its development, batik is a dyeing technique on fabrics using night and canting. In some batik there are various decorations that have meaning and stories in each designation. As a cultural artifact, surakarta truntum batik is important to be researched from the aspect of aesthetic development and aspects of cultural story value. In addition to wastra, Indonesia has various types of natural wealth, and in this study it has the potential to be a natural coloring agent in fabrics. The purpose of this study is to determine the potential and determine the aesthetic form of the truntum batik motif in the form of shape, color, composition and technique using the application of fabric manipulation techniques and Ecoprint Natural Dye to obtain plant prints that follow the concept. The combined development of these techniques with the inspiration of truntum and surrounding plants, resulted in craft products in the form of collections of ready-to-wear works. This research was obtained through literature study data, interviews with speakers, and engineering exploration. text
