In the future company will growing up to fulfil the challenge of the times followed many plans involve acquisition new block, invest in another energy company, or develop the oil field or even invest in the renewable sector, means complex projects will facing in the future. Projects must keep going whether the company is applied project management standard or not will affect to the project result. In reality, not all people understand about importance of project management standard, but they must involve in the project as assigned by the company. Objectives of This research are find factors that important as aspects in implementation of project management for complex projects at PT. Minyak Emas Proses, the factors as the foundation to be proposed to implement project management and improve project management cycle to bring solutions to the problems that occur in the project. Basic of portfolio, program and project management also explained as information before exploring factors that crucial in the project. Research methods are used qualitative and quantitative methods, engage with respondents from subsurface, drilling, operation, facility engineering, operation, and production engineering to observe their opinion, idea, think, advice, analytical hierarchy process is supplementary analysis, quantitative data source came from interviews the respondents. From coding interpretation, classification the subcategory result show 51 subcategories emerge from nine respondents that actively participate in the discussion, ten subcategories choose as the highest number of respondents that respond to the question and as major keys peeled further. Radar graph is used as a tool to represent ten highest subcategories. This research also proposed four recommendations as solutions to be implemented in the future, consist of implementation of five-dimensional project management, stakeholder integration and knowledge, engineering economics knowledge and project tools utilisation. These recommendations are very useful and interesting to develop more at PT. Minyak Emas Proses, specifically perhaps could be able to represent portfolio of the company that have complex plan projects. The uniqueness of implementation and improvement using 5-DPM are this method usually used on highway road project management, and adopt project management standard from PMBOK, and cover other recommendation aspects. text |
