HEALTHCARE FACILITY FOR PTSD WITH A HEALING ENVIRONMENTAL APPROACH

Indonesia is one of the countries with largest population in 2020. However each year, the number of mental health disorders in Indonesia is increasing especially after pandemic Covid- 19. The prevalence of diseases that increase is Post-Traumatic Disorder by 80%. In this situation, we need specific facillities with the right treatment methods to deal with PTSD in order to prevent further effect such as depression, severe psychiatric disorders, and suicide. The formulation in this research is; 1.) There’s no facilities that specially formed to dealing PTSD sufferes so we need to do a specific research to examine characteristic of PTSD patiens and their response. 2.) The lack of public awareness and negative stigma of mental health treatment makes it difficult to detect individuals with PTSD symptoms. Therefore a semi-formal facilities and help from groups are needed with the function to detecting,treating, and curing people with PTSD. 3.) We need to study healing environmental concept to match the treatment process that will given to people with PTSD. This research will be conducted by using mixed method to collect data through literature studies, interviews with psychologist or mental health experts who deal with patients PTSD, and do some indirected surveys through benchmarks. The results of this three datas will be combined to create a study with a real case. All of data in this research will be made as the reference to designing facilities that can be used to deal with PTSD by compiling a method, activities, facilities, and interior concepts that suits their needs through healing environmental approach.
