The government of Indonesia has also formalized ambitious infrastructure program to further develop EV ecosystem. The Government has released presidential regulation (PR) No. 55/2019 to streamline and focusing of the distribution of energy in battery and electric charging business (from upstream to downstream) with goal to meet the needed 25,000 EV Charging Station infrastructure by 2030 across Indonesia. By 2020, the government (Ministry of Energy & Mineral Resources (MEMR)) has issued ordinance number 13 (PerMen ESDM No.13/2020) to regulate EV Charging Station’s business schemes in Indonesia and distinction between private and government sectors’ contributions through their scope, capabilities, and values. This paper aims to thoroughly study and analyse the EV charging station business policies which would understand the business model of private and government sectors in the contribution of developing the EV charging station business. By creating distinctive business analysis across different schemes, the study also directs its eyes for any improvement possibilities in the horizon to the EV charging station business’ competitiveness, attractiveness, and sustainability. text
