Summary: | Since early 2020, the COVID-19 Pandemic has led to economic and social disruption worldwide. Many countries face challenges, especially regarding the change in ways of working, including in West Java, Indonesia. The Indonesian Government administers social distancing measures due to the COVID-19, which includes implementing Work From Home (WFH) practice at the West Java Regional Office of the Ministry of Law & Human Rights. Several challenges are identified that could impact the employees' productivity. As the regional office in West Java is divided into four divisions with distinct job descriptions, the implementation of WFH practice is particularly challenging to the Immigration Division as it has different work requirements. For instance, the Immigration Division is divided into two departments: the Immigration Intelligence & Enforcement Department, which requires the employees to work from the office; and the Immigration Licensing & Information Department, where it is still feasible for their employee to conduct their working activities from home. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the impact of WFH practice, especially the relationship with employees' productivity in the workplace. Simple Linear Regression Analysis and Cross-Tabulation Analysis were utilized to analyze the relationship between the WFH and productivity variables. The study also conducted SWOT Analysis as the basis for recommending the continuity of WFH implementation, which includes the post-pandemic situation. Results of the analysis indicate a strong correlation and linear relationship between Work From Home and Productivity, where the linear regression model is significant. Nonetheless, although both variables show a positive correlation, the readiness and productivity level during WFH practice could be optimized by implementing a Change Management Strategy to assist the employees in immersing themselves in change. |
