Summary: | Least Square Moving Particle Semi-Implicit (LSMPS) is a particle-based
spatial gradient operator developed to calculate the gradient of variable value
distributed along the simulation domain. In this project, a solver based on the
LSMPS method was developed to solve heat conduction problems. To reduce
computational costs, multiresolution and elliptical particle models are also de-
veloped in this heat conduction solver. The solver created is tested using 2
heat conduction cases, namely steady heat conduction in 2 dimensions and
transient heat conduction in 3 dimensions. The results of both simulations
show that in general, the developed solver can be used to solve heat conduc-
tion problems. However, multiresolution and elliptical model must be used
appropriately to be beneficial.
