Description
Summary:Classical laminate theory is a theory that is widely studied by universities in the world in modeling the laminate properties of a composite. Bandung Institute of Technology, one of the universities that studies classical laminate theory in the Composite Materials course, Materials Engineering study program (major). In this final project, a application software was developed to assist students or lecturers in modeling the properties of laminated composites based on classical laminate theory. A literature study on classical laminate theory was carried out in order to find out in depth the assumptions, calculation flow, and calculation formulas of classical laminate theory. The system design is carried out to determine the flow of data in the application and also the design of the application interface. The system design that has been made is implemented in the form of code (coding) with JavaScript and then packaged to create an executable file that can run on the Windows operating system. Validation of the application that has been made is carried out by comparing the results of the trait model with the Genlam application. This final project has succeeded in developing the modelling application and also has additional features that the previous application (Genlam) does not have, the results of this app calculation have also been validated. This application is expected to replace the Genlam application in the study of composite materials at the Bandung Institute of Technology Materials Engineering.
