Summary: | Coal is a good alternative fuel. However, the use of coal as an alternative energy source causes
environmental problems caused by the presence of fly ash and bottom ash, which needs to be considered
in handling the presence of certain organic or inorganic materials in high enough concentrations and
can harmful to the environment. One treatment that can be done is reuse as stated in PP No. 22 of 2021.
Utilization of fly ash and bottom ash waste as a substitute for raw materials for buildings. The
substitution made is to replace some of the aggregate mixture for the manufacture of building materials
such as concrete and high quality standard concrete. The compressive strength of each waste was tested
with the composition (fly ash and bottom ash) 1:3, 1:4, 1:5, 1:6 for 28 days, fly ash variations 0%, 30%,
40%, 50% and bottom ash 0%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 100% and for high quality standard concrete
with variations of fly ash 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and bottom ash 10%, 20 %, 30%, 40%, 100%. After
testing, the concrete with the highest compressive strength for fly ash at 28 days was produced with 30%
variation of 1:3 composition is 242.2 kg/cm2
