Description
Summary:During their lifetime, stars will experience evolution. The evolution of stars is depicted in the Hertzsprung-Russel (HR) diagram. There are various parameters that influence stellar evolution, among others overshooting and stellar rotation rate. The overshooting effect can cause changes in the model of the thermal structure of the star from what is predicted by standard theoretical models. While the rotation of the star can influence the evolution, the addition of the rotation factor also affects the properties of the star's center layer. In intermediate mass stars, the overshooting and rotation rate have a significant effect. Overshooting and rotation rate affect the evolutionary path of intermediate mass stars, especially in the length of the blue loop line, which increases in the RGB phase. The addition of the overshooting factor and rotation rate also affects the luminosity, mass changes, interior composition, and age of the star. Using the webbased MESA (Modules for Experiments in Stellar Astrophysics), a stellar evolution calculation will be carried out to review the effect of overshooting and rotational rate on the evolution of intermediate mass stars with predetermined parameters.
