Generally, the source of nutrients used in this cultivation method is AB Mix fertilizer which has a relatively high price, thus other nutritional alternatives are needed that can suppress the use of AB Mix fertilizer. Leachate from the bioconversion of tomato waste by H. illucens larvae has the potential as an alternative to hydroponic nutrition because it contains nutrients that are close to the nutritional standards of AB Mix. This study aims to determine the concentration of leachate from the bioconversion of tomato waste by Hermetia illucens larvae as an optimal hydroponic solution mixture based on kale growth parameters including plant height, number of leaves, and wet weight of kale. (Brassica oleracea var. Acephala). This study consisted of 5 treatments, namely 100% AB Mix, 80% AB Mix and 20% leachate, 70% AB Mix and 30% leachate, 60% AB Mix and 40% leachate, and 50% AB Mix and 50% leachate. The highest number of leaves, wet weight, and dry weight of kale were found in treatment 3 (70% AB Mix and 30% leachate) with 16.59 strands, 119.33 grams, and 32.87 grams, respectively. The use of leachate from the bioconversion of tomato waste by H. illucens larvae with a concentration level of 30% as a hydroponic nutrient solution mixture is the optimal treatment and has the same effect as the 100% AB Mix treatment on the growth of kale (Brassica oleracea var. acephala) including plant height. , number of leaves, and wet weight. text
