Summary: | Access of Kertajati International Airport from Bandung City has to go through a long journey, namely Cikopo-Palimanan Toll Road, Cipularang Tol Road, and Purbaleunyi Toll Road before reaching Bandung City via Pasteur Toll Gate. This trip is around 170 kms of travel distance that takes two to three travel time. Therefore, international airline passengers prefer access through Singapore Changi Airport transit via Soekarno-Hatta Airport compared with Kertajati International Airport. The government provides a solution by constructing Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan Toll Road, abbreviated as Cisumdawu Toll Road. Cisumdawu Toll Road is a freeway with a length of 62,60 kilometers and part of Trans-Java Toll Road. This toll road crosses Bandung Regency, Sumedang Regency, and Majalengka Regency. Several aspects are covered during designing process, specifically, transportation engineering, water resources engineering, and construction engineering management. Transportation engineering field includes geometric and design of roads, and pavement design of roads. Water resources engineering field includes hydrology engineering and drainage design. As for construction engineering management, it includes construction methods, calculation of work volume in a form of estimated Bill of Quantity. Design outputs are in the form of shop drawings and Bill of Quantity to be used later on. |
