Description
Summary:With the increase in population, it is necessary to develop integrated river control with water resourceinfrastructure, one of which is the construction of reservoirs. One of the reservoirs built in the context of developing water resources infrastructure is the Jatigede Reservoir. Jatigede Reservoir is a reservoir built in theCimanuk watershed to serve the Cirebon Regency, Cirebon City, Sumedang Regency, Majalengka Regency, and Indramayu Regency. The ability of the Jatigede Reservoir in order to meet the water demand in the downstream (irrigation, domestic, and industrial) can be determined by analyzing the reliability of the discharge and capacityof the Jatigede Reservoir. In this study, rain data analysis was carried out to determine the rain pattern in the Upper Cimanuk watershed area, the mainstay discharge data analysis was carried out using statistical methods, namely the Normal Distribution method, Pearson III Log Distribution, Log Normal Distribution, and Gumbel Distribution. Then the Kolmogorov Smirnov test was carried out to determine the distribution test that best matched the distribution of the discharge data. In this study, water availability was also calculated using a dynamic system model using the VENSIM software. Reliability is known by simulating the availability of water for 10 years with domestic water needs and analysis of rain data using rainfall data from 5 rainfall gauge posts for the period 1997 – 2017. The results of the calculation of the mainstay discharge in the Upper Cimanuk watershed using the Log Pearson III distribution method for 1 day and 30 days, resulted in a reliable discharge of 4.834 m3 /second and 6.844 m3 /second in a 10 year period. The reliability of Jatigede Reservoir is simulated with VENSIM in 3 scenarios, namely dry scenario, normal scenario, and wet scenario. The reservoir capacity value after a period of 10 consecutive years according to the scenario is 404,152 (106 ) m3 ; 441,003 (106 ) m3 ; 523,972 (106) m3 .
