Description
Summary:Airport is an important place for connecting cities and economy around the globe since airport is one of main part in air transportation system. Understanding the passenger arrival distribution is important to plan the airport management to solve the problem with the influx of passengers in the airport. The passenger arrival pattern is affected by some aspects, such as flight schedule, type of passengers (business or economy), and flight destination. This research will be focused on the passenger arrival distribution pattern for passengers in domestic flights. It will be focused on how departure time, destinations, and number of passengers are influenced the domestic flight passengers. The research will be focused to analyze two parameters: the mean value of time before flight and the arrival time before flight. The modelling of passenger arrival distribution will be done by using Microsoft Excel. The research will be conducted in El Tari International Airport in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. Based on the analysis of the model, the best policy for passenger arrivals in the airport can be determined to manage the facilities and services for domestic passengers in the airport terminal.
