Pharmacists who serve in pharmacies are on of the professions that deal directly with the risk of contracting COVID-19 infection because of the important role they carried in the community. The purpose of study was to assess knowledge and practice related to COVID-19 pandemic condition of pharmacists serving in West Java pharmacies. The online survey was conducted for 2 months to 895 pharmacist subjects who worked in West Java pharmacies. The results showed that the number of pharmacist subjects at the pharmacy in West Java province who had adequate knowledge regarding COVID-19 were 761 people (85%) and pharmacists who applied good practices related to COVID-19 pandemic conditions were 541 people (60%). Pharmacist????s demographic data can be a determining factor in the level of knowledge related to COVID-19, including 36-45 years old (OR = 3,24; p = 0,010) and 46-55 years old (OR = 3,68; p = 0,040) pharmacists, and 10-50 patients (OR = 2,05; p = 0,004) and 2 pharmacists/pharmaceutical technician (OR = 1,74; p = 0,020) in the pharmacy. Meanwhile, pharmacist practices related to the COVID-19 pandemic can be influenced by factor of certain branch management area Cimahi (OR = 0,04; p = 0,003), Bandung City (OR = 0,06; p = 0,006), and various other areas. In addition, practice level was influenced by part-time pharmacists (OR = 1,73; p = 0,048), and the number of patients (OR = 1,66; p = 0,003) and pharmacists (OR = 1,44; p = 0,037) in the pharmacy. Therefore, it can be concluded that the majority of pharmacists who serve in West Java pharmacies already have an adequate level of knowledge and apply good practices influenced by some demographic data of pharmacists in West Java pharmacies. text |
