Description
Summary:Insomnia has become one of the most common sleep disorders in the world with 30% of the adult population suffering from this condition. The most common indications from people with insomnia are inability to fall asleep and have a struggle to maintain the sleep condition. Nowadays, many interventions for insomnia using cognitive behavioral therapy have been conducted with the help of mobile applications that provide sleep aiding features. However, for complete prevention and treatment, interventions with the help of these applications should be complemented by the help of healthcare professionals. This final project aim was to make a mobile application prototype that can help people to prevent and treat insomnia. Some features will be attached in this prototype including sleep journal, sleep tracker, sleep alarm, sleep music, meditation guide, medication with professional guidance, drug counseling, and educational article. The following steps involved in this study were described as follows: preparing, planning, designing, prototyping, and testing the prototype. The functionality test was conducted to measure a success rate and simplicity of use from a task-completion test done by the respondents. To measure user’s satisfaction with the services given in the prototype, a SERVQUALbased questionnaire was used. Prototype testing completed with satisfaction resulted in 88.6% success rate on functionality test followed by 4.52 expectation score, 4.58 perception score, and moderate satisfaction level with 77,3 satisfaction score on service quality evaluation (n=18).
