The improvements made by the government of The Special Capital Region of Jakarta (DKI Jakarta) on waste management facilities were to achieve those targets but have come with an issue of increased funding for waste management activities in the future. This research is aimed to find scenarios on waste management policies to achieve the targets in the The Regional Policy and Strategy of The Household Waste Management without having to increase the budget significantly. The dynamics system used in this research is to predict the dynamics of the waste management in DKI Jakarta and study the relationships between the variables until 20 years ahead. The development of the model is assisted with the STELLA software and uses secondary data of DKI Jakarta waste management for input. Every scenario resulted from the model is based on the existing condition of the waste management in DKI Jakarta. The results of the scenario simulation show that to achieve the Jakstrada target in 2025, the government needs to increase the capacity and number of waste management facilities by more than 2 times the performance of the existing condition. In addition, the Jakstrada target needs to be accompanied by the success of the policy of limiting the generation of plastic waste by 100% and participating in community participation in reducing waste generation by 1.5% per year in stages. In meeting the The Regional Policy and Strategy of The Household Waste Management target, the waste management budget will experience an average increase of 8.57% compared to the Waste Regional Budget in a period of 15 years. Community participation in reducing waste generation by 1.5% per year on a regular basis, can reduce the size of the increase in the waste management budget in the last 5 years of the simulation. text |
