In this final project, the roll on/roll off pier is made into a floating structure due to
the condition of the waters around the port which has the highest tidal difference
and the highest low tide of 2,293 meters. The wharf design phase starts from
collecting environmental data, calculating the load due to environmental and
operational loads, calculating the bearing capacity of the soil, pre-design stage,
and structural modeling.
The results of the modeling are unity check ratio (UCR) and deflection. The result
of this final project is the design of the pier in the form of structural dimensions and
pier elements consisting of 5 breasting dolphin structures with a size of 6 m ???? 6 m
with 700 mm diameter 22 mm thick piles with a pile depth of 20 meters, 2 mooring
dolphin structures with a size of 2 m ???? 2 m with 400 mm diameter 15 mm thick piles
with a pile depth of 14 meters, 1 pontoon structure with a size of 16 m ???? 14 m ???? 4
m with 600 mm diameter thick 22 mm piles, 1 ramp bridge with a size of 18 m ???? 8
m and 1 trestle with a total span of 70 meters with 500 mm diameter 15 m thick
piles with a pile depth of 16 meters. |
