IDENTIFIKASI KESALAHAN VERTIKAL DALAM SURVEI BATIMETRI

Bathymetric survey is a process of measuring activities to determine the depth of the waters so that it can describe the shape of the bottom surface of the waters. The data obtained are horizontal coordinates (x and y) and depth values (h). In bathymetric surveys, depth measurements are carried o...

The data obtained are horizontal coordinates (x and y) and depth values (h). In bathymetric surveys, depth measurements are carried out simultaneously with measurements of the horizontal position, where the depth itself is usually done with a depth measuring instrument that uses acoustic waves such as an echosounder, while the tool for horizontal positioning usually uses the principle of positioning the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) with the Global Positioning System. (GPS). This study is intended to identify the source of the vertical error and determine the magnitude of the vertical error from the bathymetric survey measurement results. The sources of errors that cause measurement errors are tool errors, natural errors, and human errors. In this study, the method used is a study of literature obtained from research journals, books, reports, agreements that are considered official and other written sources as the main object. The results of the analysis of this study are the identification of the source of the vertical error in the bathymetric survey and the quantification of the error value. In doing quantification, to find out the magnitude of the vertical error, the error propagation method is used. From the results of quantification using simulation data, it can be seen that the measurement error is ± 0.2246 m at a depth of 8 meters and based on the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) S-44 the depth measurement is qualified in the special order text
