Therefore, the fulfillment of food needs independently needs to be done. One way that can be done is to implement an urban farming system with the Three sisters. Three sisters is an intercropping farming system that combines the cultivation of corn, beans, and pumpkins in one place or plot and can be carried out on a relatively narrow area of land. In plant cultivation, one thing that needs to be considered is the pollination process to get high productivity results. In urban farming systems, one approach that can be taken is the application of domesticated pollinating insects such as stingless bees (Trigona laeviceps). Therefore, this study was conducted with the aim of determining the effect of growing area on the visitation rate of the Trigona laeviceps bee in the three sisters cultivation system (Corn (Zea mays), pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata), chickpea (Phaseolus vulgaris) with different growing spaces. The results of this study were visitation. The rate of Trigona laeviceps bees on bean plants was the same in all treatments, namely an average of 0.0 bees/flower/hour, the highest maize plant was in treatment P1 (Growbag 75 liters) which was an average of 24.86 bees/flower/hour, and the highest pumpkin plant was in treatment P2 (Growbag 100 liters) is 8.58 bees/flower/hour. text |
