One of the efforts made to improve powder performance was by crystal engineering. Its effect of crystal engineering was studied by analyzing of crystal structure. The purpose of this literature was to review the effect of the crystal structure on the compression profile of the tablet. The literature study was carried out by analyzing research data published in international journals. Based on the data obtained, the crystal structure affected tablet performance with a unique crystal packing of multicomponent crystals and polymorphs. The presence of slip planes in the crystal were responsible for improving tablet performance by affecting its plasticity. text
