Summary:Based on the Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry, wastewater quality monitoring location (sensor node) must be located right before thewastewater discharged into environment. The location of wastewater disposal isgenerally far from internet access. This could be a problem because monitoringsystem must be accessible on network. Solution of this problemwould be sendingthe measurement data to a nearby location that has internet access (sink node), then upload the data to the network. For that reason, data transmission(communication) system (sensor node to sink node) must be exist in this system. The communication system chosen is serial communication provided by the LoRaSX1278 module with the SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) protocol and ZigbeeS2C module with the UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter) protocol. This serial communication implementation is run using ESP-ESPandESP- Raspberry Pi as microprocessor. The main purpose of this serial communication subsystem is the measurement data that transmitted fromsensor node (transmitter) can be read at the sink node.
