[1] Seeing the increasing number of COVID-19 transmissions, more attention should be directed towards efforts to find methods to inhibit the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak, one of which is by facilitating all health agencies in Indonesia, with an adequate HVAC (Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning) system. The role of HVAC systems in health facilities includes supplying fresh air; air filtering; maintaining room pressure, so that air flows from a cleaner place to a dirtier place, and condition the room to have the desired temperature and humidity. The process of designing the air conditioning systems of Puskesmas South Tangerang involves two major phases, which is the evaluation phase, and the redesigning phase. The evaluation phase will be done by identifying and comparing field conditions towards the minimum requirements set by state regulation and recommendations put forth by international standards in the field of air conditioning. The second phase, which is the redesigning phase, will be done by doing a building survey, followed by doing a cooling load simulation and calculation, then determining the specification of each air conditioning component which is suited with the simulation and calculation results along with the regulation in effect, ended with making a two and three dimensional drawing. text |

In Indonesia, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 until Januari 5th, 2022 was
4.264.136 cases with the highest number of death cases found with a total of 144.109 cases. [1]
Seeing the increasing number of COVID-19 transmissions, more attention should be directed
towards efforts to find methods to inhibit the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak, one of which
is by facilitating all health agencies in Indonesia, with an adequate HVAC (Heating, Ventilating,
and Air Conditioning) system. The role of HVAC systems in health facilities includes supplying
fresh air; air filtering; maintaining room pressure, so that air flows from a cleaner place to a
dirtier place, and condition the room to have the desired temperature and humidity.
The process of designing the air conditioning systems of Puskesmas South Tangerang
involves two major phases, which is the evaluation phase, and the redesigning phase. The
evaluation phase will be done by identifying and comparing field conditions towards the
minimum requirements set by state regulation and recommendations put forth by international
standards in the field of air conditioning. The second phase, which is the redesigning phase, will
be done by doing a building survey, followed by doing a cooling load simulation and
calculation, then determining the specification of each air conditioning component which is
suited with the simulation and calculation results along with the regulation in effect, ended with
making a two and three dimensional drawing. |
