Description
Summary:PT Oyika Powered Solutions offers e-bike rental services, which includes the e-bike itself, and two 60V battery packs with a rated capacity of 10Ah to power the e-bike. To charge said battery packs, one must swap the empty battery pack with a fully- charged one in one of Oyika’s battery swap stations. Intended for patrons that have difficulties in accessing Oyika’s battery swap stations, a portable battery charger system is made, so charging can be done in the comfort of the patron’s own home. The system is called ChargeHub. As Oyika is a subscription-based company, there’s a need to track and monitor ChargeHub to reduce safery and security risks. To do said tracking and monitoring, ChargeHub has an IoT functionality that can send and receive message via MQTT protocol. A web dashboard is also needed to view all the data that has been sent from ChargeHub. Apart from that, one of ChargeHub’s subsystem cannot operate to its maximum-designed specifications, namely the charging subsystem. Ideally, this subsystem needs to be able to output 10 Amps to charge Oyika’s battery pack. Due to voltage and current transient characteristics happening in the subsystem, the maximum output current of this subsystem is significantly lower than needed. This final project report will discuss about the IoT functionality, the web dashboard, and the transient characteristics mitigation of the charger subsystem
