| Summary: | The Sidoarjo Mud Volcano or commonly called LuSi is one of the disasters in
Indonesia that has the potential to obstruct the development, especially sustainable
development in a number of villages. One of the villages at risk of being affected by
the Sidoarjo Mud Volcano disaster is Ketapang Village. Until now, the three sectors
(environmental, social, and economic) in Ketapang Village are still threatened by
the Sidoarjo Mud Volcano disaster. This research was conducted to identify the
impacts of the Sidoarjo Mud Volcano disaster on the environmental and socioeconomic conditions of the community in Ketapang Village, Tanggulangin District,
Sidoarjo Regency. In knowing the impact of the Sidoarjo Mud Volcano disaster on
the environmental and socio-economic conditions of the community in Ketapang
Village, the methods that being used are spatial analysis, content analysis, and
qualitative descriptive analysis. Then, to identify recovery efforts against
environmental conditions, and the socio-economic conditions of the community in
Ketapang Village, interviews were carried out by interviewing several village
officers, the Head of BUMDes Delta Mandiri Ketapang, and the Head of Karang
Taruna Ketapang Village and analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis.
Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the Sidoarjo Mud Volcano
disaster has a direct and indirect impact on the physical condition/environmental
quality of Ketapang Village in terms of changes in land use and environmental
degradation that occurs. Then, the Sidoarjo Mud Volcano disaster also had a
negative impact, indicated by changes in the socio-economic conditions of the
community in Ketapang Village which tended to get worse. |
