Description
Summary:ii ABSTRACT DESIGN & IMPLEMENTATION OF ACQUISITION & ACTUATORS SUBSYSTEMS IN ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS MONITORING & CONTROL SYSTEM OF BLACK SOLDIER FLY LARVAE CAPTIVITY By Ian Azarya Aryanto NIM: 13218055 (Bachelor’s Program in Electrical Engineering) Black Soldier Fly larvae (BSFL) is an effective organic waste treatment agent. In the process, environmental conditions play an important role in optimizing larval metabolism. However, there are still many studies to determine what environmental conditions standards are required by BSFL, especially in Indonesia. Unfortunately, most of the BSF still rely on human labor and conventional technology to collect data and environmental conditions. This resulted in the monitoring process was not carried out properly and quickly. Therefore, we need a system that is able to take advantage of the Internet of Things (IoT) concept to design and develop an automatic BSF Larvae Monitoring system, along with a system for controlling environmental conditions. The system will consist of data acquisition subsystem, actuator subsystem, communication subsystem, data subsystem, and user interface subsystem. In this paper, we will discuss in more depth the data acquisition subsystem and actuator subsystem. In its implementation, data collection for environmental conditions will use a DS18b20 temperature sensor, a DHT22 relative humidity sensor, a resistive substrate relative humidity sensor, and a PH4502C E201-C BNC pH sensor, while for controlling environmental conditions a heating element is used to raise the temperature and a room humidifier to increase the room humidity as the example.
