Out of all the transportation methods Indonesia has to offer, motorcycle sales dominated with a percentage of 82% during 2010 -2017. According to this data, two-wheeled transportation has the biggest national fuel gas consumption that is not a form of renewable energy. However, sales in the two-wheeled electric industry have not shown significant results. The issuance of a Type Test Registration Certificate (SRUT) for two-wheeled electric vehicles only reached 7,526 units as of August 2021, indicating that public interest in the industry is still low. Therefore, this research was conducted to find novelty in the form of an electric motorcycle chassis that can be achieved through a design methodology process. The method of choice is morphology design, with an approach to bamboo material as its chronological source. Bamboo was chosen because of its ingrained culture and history with Indonesians, as well as having a wide distribution percentage with easy accessibility. The results of this study indicates that bamboo as a material can be a new perspective to take when designing an electric motorcycle chassis. In addition, the mechanical properties of bamboo have shown that the material itself can be applied as the basic structure of the chassis that will be designed to obtain morphological aesthetics through visual exploration and analytical design. text
