Summary: | Indonesia is one of the countries in the world with high population density. Rapid
population growth and the development of facilities and infrastructure such as
buildings, roads, and so on have caused the area of open space in cities in Indonesia,
especially in densely populated residential areas, to continue to decrease. The
reduction of open space has an impact on the reduction of play space for children,
especially elementary school children whose play activities are more active. Based
on this problem, this research aims to design an alternative public play facility for
elementary school children that also takes into account the narrow land and the
needs of other residents in densely populated settlements. The research was
conducted with literature studies and field studies in two different locations in
Bandung, namely RW Tamansari and Kampung Cibunut, Jalan Sunda, Sumur
Bandung. The final result of this research is a play facility that can be placed in a
densely populated residential environment. The designed play facility aims to be
easily accessible, to be adjusted to the characteristics of the space, and to fulfill the
types of children's play that are not fulfilled in the characteristics of the space |
