Description
Summary:A scholarship is a form of award given to students to support them financially to get further education. Scholarship can be given through university. Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) facilitates scholarship application by simplifying the process in online using website. However, the existing ITB scholarship website was created in 2017, with version 1.0. Therefore the website currently needs to be updated, in terms of interface design, user experience, user flow, and features. Based on these problems, in this final project, the the interaction design of the ITB scholarship website is carried out which aims to make improvement on interface design, user experience, user flow, and features. The interaction design approach used in this final project is a user-centered design in order to see the user's point of view as the main focus of design desicion. The usability goals to be achieved are effective to use, efficient to use, and have good usability, while the user experience goals to be achieved are pleasurable and helpful. The interaction design also involves user experience theories such as the Aesthetic Usability Effect, Jakob's law, and Miller's law. The output of this final project is a high-fidelity prototype that has been tested using usability testing in two iterations. The usability testing is measured using task completion rate, System Usability Scale (SUS), Single Ease Question (SEQ), and Intrinsic Motivation Inventory (IMI) with Interest/Enjoyment, Effort/Importance, and Value/Usefulness subscales. In the second iteration test, it got a score of 100% for task completion rate, 6.63 out of 7 for SEQ, 90.5 out of 100 for SUS, 6.17 out of 7 for IMI Interest/Enjoyment subscale, 2.80 out of 7 for IMI Effort subscale /Importance, and 6.11 out of 7 for the IMI Value/Usefulness subscale. Based on these tests, the interaction design for the ITB scholarship website has met the usability goals and user experience goals to be achieved.
