Summary:Online learning is one of the government's efforts in preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The implementation of distance learning has been implemented since March 16, 2020, and almost all schools at any level in Indonesia have adopted a policy for online learning. Unfortunately, since the implementation of online learning on university students, it appears that the level of mental health of students is deteriorating, especially in stress, anxiety, and depression. This situation can occur due to several factors that occur when students participate in online learning during the pandemic. Mental health symptoms that occur among students are still difficult to overcome. Meanwhile, a good mental health is believed to improve students’ academic performance. To identify students’ mental health predictors, this research uses several combinations of online learning factors that gathered through many several research which are excessive workload, internal capability, technical issue, learning environment, lack of social interaction, economic problem and uncertainty of future employment, fear of getting infected, and online learning quality as the indicators. This study uses quantitative approaches to examine and determine the outcomes of the data gathered through online questionnaire, then the data is calculated using regression and SPSS. The study surveyed 300 participants who are students of state universities in DKI Jakarta and West Java through an online questionnaire. Based on the data analysis, the results show excessive task load, internal capabilities, technical issues and learning environment has a significant effect between online learning and students’ mental health. This research is expected to help students and institutions in manage online learning and coping with mental health issues.
