Complex (HCC) Plant at PT XYZ Dumai spends the largest or most dominant maintenance
costs. The data used as input for the analysis is data taken from the MY SAP system for
maintenance costs for rotating equipment, equipment details from the manual book, machine
history data and production process data. The results of the evaluation using the RCM method.
RCM Reliability Centered Maintenance is a process used to determine what should be done to
ensure a system can run properly in accordance with the functions desired by the user (Moubray,
1997). This method is used to determine the right way of maintenance for a production system
asset in order to reduce the occurrence of failure, with a good maintenance strategy at an optimum
cost in increasing the reliability of the system. In this paper, an analysis is carried out on
components and subsystems that can cause system failure, namely by determining the system
function, functional failure, failure mode, failure effect, failure consequences, maintenance task
as well as observational analysis and a rational approach to get the right maintenance time
interval.
From the results of the RCM analysis, it was found that corrections to the maintenance strategy
on the Hydrogen Make Up compressor appropriate task is obtained, 71 failure modes using the
scheduled-on condition task method, 28 failure mode uses the restoration task strategy, 19 failure
mode uses the Failure Finding Task
