Summary: | eRaS area is an oil and gas field that its production will be improved. Gravity survey on this area has a target to increase its geological information especially in identify fault structure. Gravity measurements held twice at every station, on the surface and 60cm above the surface. This procedure is needed to collect First Vertical Derivative (FVD) data. Fault structure is identified from Complete Bouguer Anomaly (CBA), First Vertical Derivative (FVD), First Horizontal Derivative (FHD), and Second Vertical Derivative (SVD) data. Before identify fault structure in eRaS area, synthetic models of fault structure are created to get CBA, FVD, FHD, and SVD data. Two variables are used in synthetic models, angle and fault offset. Numbers of layers, depth for each layers, and density contrast for each layers are constant. The results from synthetic models become foundation for identify fault structure in eRaS area, especially the type and depth direction. These results become input for gravity forward modeling with Geomodel software. Well data are used for validation. The results, normal fault structure with depth direction southwest identified by e1 fault, normal fault structure with depth direction northeast identified by e2 fault, and reverse fault structure with depth direction South West identified by a1 fault. |
