INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/66826 In 2021, the government launched the Gerakan Nasional Wakaf Uang (GNWU) program. People are used to knowing waqf is limited to land, buildings, or cemeteries. Efforts made by waqf institutions to attract public enthusiasm for cash waqf did not give the expected results. The collected waqf funds are still far from the target to be achieved. Thus, the purpose of this study is to find out how the public's response and the level of community participation in cash waqf is. Then the results are used as a basis for formulating the right strategy. Data was collected using a Likert scale questionnaire and one open question. The data was processed using descriptive analysis methods and Miles and Huberman. The novelty of this research is collecting public opinion and using it as the basis for formulating strategies to make it a success. From the results of data processing, the community agrees that waqf is managed productively and used to improve the people's economy. However, this response is decreased if it is directly related to cash waqf. It is because there are still many people who do not believe in the management of cash waqf. In addition, money is considered irrelevant if it becomes the object of waqf. There is also a positive response stating that cash waqf is very useful. Although there are differences of opinion, the level of community participation is still relatively high. However, some people want socialization to be held first. They also ask cash waqf to be managed by a waqf institution that is trustworthy, responsible, and able to provide transparency to the general public. From the responses obtained, strategies that can be applied include holding standardized socialization, improving the quality of Nazhir, and providing regular reports to the public. With this research, it is hoped that the voice of the general public regarding cash waqf can be channeled more and can be used to make cash waqf a success in Indonesia. text
