Population development in big cities, especially in urban villages, creates problems with the growth of slum settlements in urban villages that grow legally and illegally due to rapid population growth and urbanization. The city of Bandung has five sub-districts that have the highest level of slums, the high level of slums in five sub-districts in the city of Bandung has given an indication that there are serious city problems and need to be handled directly by the government, academics and the community itself. This study aims to identify self-characteristics, socio-economic characteristics, identify process aspirations of residents living in slums, identify product aspirations for slum settlements and analyze the relationship between self-characteristics and socio-economic characteristics of residents living in slums with aspirations for structuring processes and products. slums. This research is quantitative and qualitative descriptive as supporting data with data collection methods through observation, interviews and filling out a closed questionnaire and distributed freely. The results showed that there was a significant effect between self-characteristics on process aspirations with the acquisition category of significance value <0.0001. With the aspirations of the community, it is hoped that all forms of community proposals that are needed and desired by the community can be realized so that activities are right on target and effective.
