The Law of National Education System stated that education is a conscious effort to prepare educate participants by guiding activities, teaching and/or practicing for their future. The government of Sumedang Regency is doing some national regulations to implement the autonomy of education in the regency level. Sumedang regency is included of Bandung Metropolitan Area (BMA) development plan. In fact, this plan is supporting all the sectors development of Sumedang regency, especially in education sector. It need to identify and analysis the education facilities to balancing the supplies and demands in Sumedang. The potential of education facilities for the region development of Sumedang is vocational education which could expanding the local characteristic. This vocational education mentioned Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Education facilities identify and analyze are divided in to quantity analysis (number and distribution) and the analysis of the vocational type. This number and distribution analyze of education facilities is using some levels that are identifying the existing facilities, predicting the demands for the future, and analyzing the supply and demand of the vocational education facilities. The type of the vocational analysis are micro analysis (interest potential analysis) and macro analysis (labor market potential analysis). This study find that the demands of vocational education facilities quantity for the future is trend to increased and the flat distribution. The potential vocational school which is based on Sumedang regional potential, interest potential analysis, and labor market potential analysis are education for agriculture and tourism. The government of Sumedang regency as the supplier of vocational education facilities should to supply all the facilities for social demand. It need to balance the supply and demand for vocational education facilities for the future in Sumedang.
