REVIEW OF WATER EXPLOITATION IN KATULAMPA IRRIGATION AREA

ABSTRACT: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Katulampa Irrigation Area is one of technical irrigation system located in Bogor Regency and Depok City which consisted of 6 District such as East Bogor District, North Bogor District, Sukaraja District, Cibinong District, Sukmajaya District and Cimanggis District. As supply water system which has been planned for supplying basic water of agricultural land, applied for its demand from Katulampa weir in Ciliwung River which located in Katulampa village, Sub-District of Katulampa, East Bogor District, Bogor City. Initial Katulampa Irrigation Area has 4511 Ha. But along with fast of settlement expansion around it so that much area which has became land function displacement from irrigation area becomes settlement or industrial area, and than in year of 1990 it broadness has became 1494 Ha and in year of 2006 it broadness has remained 278 Ha. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Water availability for inflow in Katulampa Irrigation Channel shows the biggest around 6.358 M3/sec happening in almost of all the month and the smallest happening in August and September. Water exploitation in Katulampa Irrigation channel is utilized for domestic of Bogor City and only be allocated in amount of 120 l/s because some of water has supplied from wellspring and Cisadane River and non domestic demand like Bogor Palace in amount of 200 l/s, industry 25 l/s, fishery 100 l/s, situ 50 l/s and maintenance flow in amount of 635.8 l/s, so need to be made water balance. Water exploitation in Katulampa Irrigation channel is executed in various development scenarios which have been started from year of 2006, 2010, 2015 and 2020. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> According to the result of the development scenario could be known the available water still be quite a lot especially in October to May because there is so much water which still throws away especially at the rain season.
