Description
Summary:The city of Bandung is the capital city as well as the administrative center of West Java Province. As the capital of the province, Bandung plays an important role as the main driver for the province of West Java, both in terms of economic and social aspects of society. In order to maximize this role, the satellite area of Bandung City, especially the area included in the Greater Bandung area, needs to be able to maximize its role as a supporting area. One of the important satellite areas for Bandung City is Bandung Regency. This area is an alternative area of choice for community housing and industrial locations as well as gateway access to the city of Bandung itself. Unfortunately, the development of Bandung Regency is often hampered by various problems, including problems related to water resource management. One that often occurs is flooding. Various areas in this region are known as flood-prone areas. In fact, Bandung Regency contributes about 24% to the economic structure of Greater Bandung with a population of around 3.5 million people. One area that often experiences flooding in Bandung Regency is Tegalluar Village. This area is quite densely populated and there is Jalan Sapan which is one of the main roads to the city of Bandung. Floods in this area occur mainly due to runoff from the Cikeruh River. Floods due to river runoff can reach more than 50 cm with inundation time of up to one week. The heavy discharge from the Bandung area and Sumedang Regency causes the capacity of the Cikeruh River to be insufficient to accommodate the discharge. In addition, the flow of rivers that carry sedimentary material also causes a reduction in the capacity of the river channel. Therefore, a plan is needed to overcome the flooding that occurs due to the overflow of the Cikeruh River. The method used to plan flood prevention starts from hydrological analysis to determine the planned flood discharge. Then carried out a hydraulic analysis by modeling the flow of water on the existing channel cross section as well as simulations after the flood control structure has been made. The design of structures or water structures to cope with flooding according to the condition of the river along with the operation and maintenance plan is then intended to be the output of this Final Project.
