Description
Summary:Analytically, the displacement of an object can be calculated by integrating the acceleration twice by the time. The direct integral which conducted in the acceleration data can’t guarantee the accuracy of the displacement and velocity as the result of the integral. This study was intended to evaluate the data correction method called Kalman Filter. The integral of acceleration data using the Kalman Filter method can increase the accuracy of the displacement estimation while considering the model and measurement. The reference data show the error percentage that occured by integrating the acceleration data directly could reach 68% for cases related to object movement in space. The very high number of errors could be reduced to 9% using the correct methodical approach.
