Balongan are still unable to deliver Pertalite and Pertamax in a timely manner with the right
quantity according to the customer's target. The delay in lifting the products, namely Pertalite
and Pertamax, caused PT. Pertamina International Refinery Unit Balongan to earn revenue.
With the delay in lifting Pertalite and Pertamax, PT. Pertamina International Refinery Unit
Balongan made a profit of 56 billion for the sale of Pertamax, but lost sales of 1.3 trillion for
the sale of Pertalite. So that further studies are needed to reduce sales loss by reducing delay.
To understand the problems facing the company, SIPOC analysis is needed, which aims to
observe the flow of information and materials. Starting from the component blending process,
mixing, settling, lab analysis, to product lifting to customers. After knowing the flow of
information and materials, the root cause of the business issue needs to be found. Identify the
root cause of the existing business issues so that the solutions that will be compiled in the future
have a big impact on improvement. Late repair solutions for delays that will later eliminate lost
sales. For the root of the main problem, namely the lack of detail on the schedule prepared by
PT. Pertamina International Refinery Unit Balongan, a detailed manufacturing schedule is the
solution. The solution for compiling a detailed schedule can be done with three alternatives.
The first alternative, system scheduling is arranged using the average pump rate for one year.
The second alternative uses the average pump rate with respect to each target volume. As for
the third alternative, the system scheduling is compiled using the average pump rate by taking
into account each of the components that make up the product. Each - each scheduling system
is still delayed in the delivery of products to customers. Alternative one delay is 17 delays in
product delivery to customers from 183 targets. For the second alternative delay 2 delays.
While the three alternative delays are the slowest, namely only 1 delay and the resulting delay
is the shortest among the other two alternatives. All alternative scheduling systems can
eliminate sales losses because all product delivery to customers is faster by using a scheduling
system.
