Summary: | The COVID-19 pandemic crisis and prolonged isolation have increased the prevalence of stress problems. Stress is an individual's inability to deal with internal and external demands that exceed their capacity. Various stressors that have accumulated during the pandemic are at a higher risk for young people: PDSKJI national survey in 2020 showed the 65% prevalence of mental problems occurred in the 17-29 year age group. Some studies also predict a secondary pandemic of mental problems up to 3 years after isolation. Therefore, resolving the post-pandemic stress in young adults needs to be prioritized to prevent future problems. This project facilitates the needs of young adults in Bandung. The presence of the project is in line with Mental Health Efforts Act by (1) Presenting various stress recovery facilities with a holistic approach as a curative and rehabilitative effort; and (2) Creating a restorative environment that accommodates promotion, education and destigmatization efforts to create future resilience. The design problem is formulated by creating a restorative environment, reconnecting humans with nature, and re-activating social life; realized through the Wellness Village concept which is located in the hilly area of Ciburial Tourism Village with good natural quality and close access from downtown. |
