Tourism is one of the priority sectors that has a role and influence on other sectors and can make a major contribution to regional development. Tourism villages are a current tourist trend and become an alternative as a development of nature-based tourism and local communities. Tourism Village is part of sustainable tourism development so it is hoped that the current tourism trend can accelerate economic revival and growth. Kuningan Regency is one of the regencies that strongly supports and develops tourism, as stated in the spatial planning objectives. In addition, the Kuningan Regency Government is targeting a Pinunjul Village (Uggulan) Village development program, one of which is the Cibuntu Tourism Village. Cibuntu Tourism Village is one of the villages that has been developed into a tourism village based on local wisdom and is widely known and has received many achievements. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic which has lasted for more than two years, it has had a fairly severe impact, especially for tourism as well as for tourist villages. Many tourist activities are stopped and closed, there is no income, so that it has an impact on the local community. Currently, there have been recovery efforts made by various stakeholders but they have not been fully good, especially in the impact of the pandemic that occurred. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the impact of the pandemic, the condition of tourist villages, and analyze the gaps that occur in the new normal era. To achieve the goals and objectives of this study, secondary data was collected from several literatures, journals, plan documents, policies, and so on, and primary data was collected through interviews, observations, and questionnaires. The results of the data obtained will be processed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis, content analysis to determine conditions, impacts, and gap analysis to analyze the gaps in the condition of tourist villages. The results of the study show that there are impacts caused by the pandemic, especially on tourism activities in the Cibuntu Tourism Village and have an impact on the local community. The condition of the tourist village during the pandemic was much different from the previous condition, namely the many changes, with the implementation of policies as an effort to minimize COVID-19 cases resulting in tourism having to close and open by providing strict health protocol facilities. This has led to a decrease in tourist visits, many cancellations and delays in tourist and homestay reservations, and delays in development in Cibuntu Village. Then because tourism is closed, there are attractions and facilities that are not used so they are not well maintained. With the re-opening of tourism activities and other activities at this time, it is a new first step in the new normal period to continue to rise and continue to increase the development of tourist villages, then analyzing the gaps in the condition of tourist villages is the main thing in taking the next step, especially in the recovery strategy
