Poverty, level of well-being, and limited access still very related with rural areas, which causes rural communities to be more at risk and vulnerable when facing changes and disturbances, because they are unable to meet their needs and lack the ability to support sustainability, it will be give impact on household livelihood system and well-being cannot realized. Meanwhile in Indonesia, various efforts have been made by the government to overcome this, one of which is the formation of village enterprises (BUMDES), because it is considered to be able to encourage and mobilize village livelihoods through the creation of new job opportunities and businesses which are expected to increase assets and livelihood strategies for the community. Therefore, this study aims to identify changes in the livelihood resilience of rural communities since the existence of BUMDES which consists of buffer capacity, self-organizing capacity, and learning capacity. The research was conducted using a quantitative method with a single case study approach, in which the proportion estimation test and the Wilcoxon signed rank test were used to identify changes in livelihood resilience and Spearman's rho association test was used to identify the correlation between changes in livelihood resilience and the presence of household members involved in BUMDES. The results show that since the existence of BUMDES there has been a change in livelihood resilience in the form of increasing the capacities of rural households. However, most of the changes are closely related to the presence of household members involved in BUMDES. Furthermore, so that the existence of BUMDES can increase the livelihood resilience of all rural households, intervention from various related parties is needed and is more active in providing understanding and inviting the community to participate in various activities and business units managed by BUMDES. text
