However, there are several problems that hinder development in this sector, namely high electricity and gas prices, minimum wages that increase every year, low-competency workforce, and the use of production machines that are outdated, poorly maintained, and less efficient. This results in high selling prices and makes world consumers turn to producing countries with lower prices, such as Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Cambodia. Another problem with this industry is that it has characteristics that are difficult to predict because clothing trends change all the time. Fortunately, the use of Industry 4.0 technology can help overcome these problems. However, the implementation of this technology is not easy, especially for MSMEs. Some of the obstacles that occur such as limited financial resources, sources of knowledge, and awareness of technology. The principle of “Joint Production House” helps answer this problem by providing production facilities that are shared between MSMEs so that machine rental costs become more affordable and help encourage innovative products more efficiently. In answering the problems that have been mentioned, a project idea emerged with this principle. The vision of this project is to advance the garment industry in the city of Bandung by applying Industry 4.0 technology, and the mission is to provide opportunities for MSME actors and garment sector workers to run their business more efficiently. This project has the typology of industrial, office and retail buildings, consisting of collaboration, production and commercial facilities. In Indonesia, there is one location that is famous for its clothing products, namely Cigondewah, Bandung City, which is used as the project location. Through the analysis of project issues, the formulation of the design problem is obtained, namely the design of buildings that are flexible and energy efficient. These problems are solved through a flexible, adaptive, and interconnected building approach; and energy efficient buildings. These approaches are then combined to formulate design criteria that are deemed most appropriate to answer design problems, followed by the formulation of alternative design concept ideas. text |
